MSI Monitor Named Novatek?

Hi All,

I have an MSI G32CQ4 E2 and an MSI G32C4 E2
these are both connected to my laptop via a docking station - USB - C
When I turn the computer on, for some reason the G32CQ4 E2 displays as NOVATEK in the Advanced display settings on my PC and it will not allow me to select anything higher than 60HZ

If I ulplug the monitor and plug it back in, all functionality is returned back to normal, until I then shut down or restart the laptop again

the G32CQ4 E2 is also noticeably darker and duller than the G32C4. even with the brightness set to 100.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

Thanks
Jake

Hi Jake, Alan -

I am having the same exact issue with my MAG 27CQ6F. I have a Dell WD19DCS docking station connected to my Dell laptop.
My setup is:
- MAG 27CQ6F monitor: HDMI connected to dock
- MAG 27CQ6F monitor: DisplayPort connected to dock
- Optix MAG27CQ monitor: DisplayPort connected to dock

Every time I power cycle the laptop or wake it up from sleep, the MAG 27CQ6F connected via DisplayPort comes back in 1080P while the other two are at the expected 1440P. The only fix I have found is unplug and replug both the DisplayPort connections.

I didn't see any follow up or new post - has there been any resolution?

Thanks,

Willie
